What is one-on-one nutrition coaching?

Individualized nutrition coaching offers a tailored approach to dietary guidance, intuitive eating, and lifestyle changes, suited to your unique needs and objectives. This service is available for face-to-face consultations in my Naperville office, but begins with a no-cost, no-commitment conversation. During this initial call, we’ll delve into your goals, be it a weight loss journey, adopting a healthier lifestyle, advancing athletic performance, or embracing mindful eating practices, to ascertain whether my expertise aligns with your vision for personal growth.

Should you decide to proceed, our first in-depth meeting, spanning 60 to 90 minutes, involves reviewing a custom nutrition strategy, meticulously designed just for you. Although subsequent check-ins are primarily conducted via phone or Zoom to fit into your busy schedule, the option for periodic face-to-face appointments remains open.

Geographical limitations pose no barrier to our collaboration. Remote consultations via Zoom offer the same level of personalized service, ensuring distance does not dilute the quality of our interaction. It is essential for me to build a comprehensive understanding of your dietary habits, challenges you’ve faced, and your intrinsic motivations to effectively support your journey to well-being.

My expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of clients, from high-caliber athletes and active individuals to those seeking a harmonious blend of professional responsibilities and wellness routines. My track record includes guiding numerous clients toward their goals of weight management, muscle gain, and an overall enhanced sense of health that is sustainable over time.

Rest assured, this journey transcends the confines of fad diet trends and cookie-cutter nutrition plans. My aim is to teach you the fundamentals of proper nutrition, everything from understanding energy balance to macronutrients to achieve your goals. You’ll learn to set realistic goals, and I’ll be there every step of the way to ensure you achieve them. To be a goal getter you must be a goal setter!

Ultimately, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to continue a healthful path, free from the snares of fad diets and unsubstantiated claims. Together, let’s chart the course to your wellness goals, transforming aspirations into tangible outcomes.

I pour all my energy into my clients, and it truly energizes me. Energy isn’t to be saved, rather using it gives you more! Who is 1-on-1 nutrition coaching for?

If you’re tired of fad diets and overly restrictive food plans with unrealistic expectations and unnecessary food avoidance, I’m the right coach for you. Whether you are a professional athlete or an everyday person that wants to feel better, this is for you. I specialize in helping people look better, feel better, move better, perform better, have more energy, build muscle, and confidence.

Things I can help with:

Weight loss & Accountability

Too often weight loss involves a diet riddled with unnecessary food avoidance. The key word here is unnecessary. Although many succeed in the short term with these diets, inevitably unnecessary food avoidance creeps up in the long term. All successful weight loss diets involve an energy deficit and fad diets trick people into them. I will teach how to sustain an energy deficit until reach your goal and do so while building good, sustainable habits, and self-regulated principles.

Building muscle

This is a key component to successful weight loss. In other words, we will focus on fat loss. Our goal is to improve your body composition so you lose bodyfat, build/maintain muscle, increase joint integrity, mobility, and bone density. If you’re not looking to lose weight and want to gain weight/build muscle we can achieve that goal too.

As we age osteopenia (bone loss) and sarcopenia (muscle loss) becomes a concern, the good news is with proper resistance training and nutrition this can be quelled.

Sports nutrition

If you have sports specific goals, we can work together to ensure that your diet is optimized to give you the best body composition for your optimal performance. Different sports require specific methods, I have experience across many domains from working with numerous athletes.

Macro coaching

If you’re confused about macros, let’s work together to clear things up. Perhaps you’ve used an online calculator and want to know if your numbers are accurate. Also, many aren’t sure what macros are best for their goals be it fat loss, building muscle, gaining weight, etc. I offer one time macro consults as well as ongoing 1-on-1 coaching. If you want additional information, please fill out the consultation form below.

Nutrition consulting

If you have a company, organization, school, or sports team and would like me to give a seminar, please contact me. I’ve had the pleasure of giving numerous seminars about various nutrition and training topics for various audiences.

Habit change

In my experience many of my clients have some good habits that we build on. Even if not, we find things that you enjoy and use those as a jumping off point. I am passionate about helping people make and sustain positive habit change. I am always reading the latest evidence, books (current favorite is Atomic Habits), and helping my own clients make lasting changes. We will focus on a flexible approach that leaves you feeling and looking great not only in the short-term, but for the rest of your life.
